If Yes ppl monitor this forum, please, answer to forum: are you planning to issue a new CCS build within next 3 weeks?
It's not curiosity.
We are planning to convert our web-app and would like to update to a latest version.
For MB: I did ask support by phone and did sent support request.
Silence from Yes.

As you may have noticed I always do:
MB: Have you contacted support : http://support.yessoftware.com.
The MB stands for...........MamboBrown........
He deserves the credit for, actualy boring me with that so much I decided to adopt, that.

But yep, I also want to see what ends up in 4.1.

Must say I'm waiting as well. Hope they include some bug fixes, new examples and new yui components. Since fckeditor is basically useless with ajax on the page it would be nice if they added the yui rich text editor as a component> making a choice between prototype and yui might be a good idea as well. They get in each others way every now and then and can cause a lot of trouble.
If they do make a choice I hope it's yui or even better still....dare i say it???!! jquery. Just choose a framework and stick with it and implement it all the way so we can use the features without running into prototype/yui cross problems

RonB, FYI fckeditor 3.0 is very close to release and they refer to Ajax compliance.

Last update was June 8/08 almost 3 months ago. I know that Yes Software is working hard to improve the product but it would be nice for them to share these fixes with all of us. Maybe they should consider multi-level releases. eg. alpha, beta and stable (working version) this way as developers we can try for ourselves new features/fixes and evaluate. These should be updated every couple of weeks or at least monthly along with some kind of latest news indicating what is happening and keep current in the development with CCS.
Many open source developers use this method. Maybe Yes Software will get some valuable feedback during their development process.
I see this as win win for all.

I don't think Yes would change anything to inform us regarding the build and release status.
Even Peterr is missing again. Either they working hard to improve CCS or they might have other (more important) business to do.
Sorry for my english.

My opinion is that Yes does not supply the users with enough information concerning future plans, both in regards to bug corrections and possibly a roadmap of future releases and planned features.
The lack of information makes the users concerned for the future of the product, and that does not benefit anyone.

Agree. It's better to know if company is planning to slow-down than guess in a darkness.
Btw, my case# 983936121, reported aug 27 is still not answered.

Just a note of encouragement, I have been in contact with Yes Software and we are confident in the work they are doing with CCS. They have been working hard and are being responsive with some of the concerns I personally have posted. Without getting into details, we will only have to keep waiting a bit longer.

For every1 who is waiting for answer - today Yes answered:
"The new CCS 4.1 version is almost ready for release. We expect it to be available by the end of this week."
Personally for me, any answer from Yes is a good sign.
Unfortunately we already migrated last week, tested migration and fixed minor problems found (4 man/days). I can request our testers to complete regression testing again, but I'm not sure my management and testers will be happy.

Anyone playing with Artisteer Release Candidate, would have noticed there is a new kid on the block.
ccsVersion="4.01.00.022"
Oh, end of the week, come soon!
