Hi
Not sure why there would be any difficulty here.
Just create another dn connection with the credentials the JOOMLA DB needs.
Should work.
I have never tried Joomla specifically but have attached to Drupal dbs.
I would be curious what the problem would be. Itls just another database
LEt me know

OK, perhaps I should reformulate my question. What I'm asking is:
does anybody developed anything in CSS that would integrate into Joomla IDE
?
Example:
Say I have a site build in Joomla and it is based on the comon CSS template
I create some extra MySQL tables and based on those tables I create a CCS
app.
Now I want to insert an app into a page, so I keep site consistency in its
look and feel.
To make it even more simple at the start, say I want to insert a simple
listbox (grid) + record edit form inside Joomla generated page. What would
be the best aproach to do that ?

The German text is about using an iframe in Joomla and handling the problem of autorisation by passing the UserID and GroupID to CCS by using sessionvariables.
But it is no solution when you will avoid frames and iframes for reasons of accessibility.
I am interested in working examples too.

hi arthur,
please see my new post here: http://forums.codecharge.com/posts.php?post_id=100792
I've tried to translate my post in the german forum of devdata.de into english. I hope it's clear enough.
best regards
peter
