While searching for a few things I found a very usefull posting: http://forums.codecharge.com/posts.php?post_id=90038
I did was DonB proposed and used the provided code (1:1) for a search grid, that has 5 searchfields.
Now an example:
Entries in the first 4 searchfields -> Everything is fine, 4 URL parameters are used
An additional entry in the 5th field -> The entry from the last field I used before the 5th field is cleared (and so is it's URL).
If I don't use the On Validate code there is no limitation above the 4th searchfield...
Any hints what could be wrong?
Regards,
Jack

Jack, are you POSTing or GETing, or Both?
Also, Apache? Register Globals Off?
Just tossing out some things that I'd be looking at to track down the
problem.

As far as I can see I'm POSTing (<form id="cabin_deck_reservation_sh" name="{HTMLFormName}" action="{Action}" method="post">).
Apache 2.2.9 and Register Globals are Off.

Jack

Either:
Field 4 and 5 have similar names
OR
Search values in 4 and 5 are the same
Just a thought
Walter

Hi Walter,
using all 5 fields leads to an URL like this: ...?cabin_number=1&deck_id=1&tour_name=2008&tour_departure_date=01.05.2008&ship_id=1
Just to show an example
P.S.: Did you had some bit spare time to think about the things mentioned in my last pm? *blush*

Jack

Is there a way to get around this issue without modifying the format of the tour_departure_date URL part, datadoit?

Jack

I can't think of an 'easy' way. Probably the best format to use for the
date field would be mm-dd-yyyy (dashes instead of dots or forward
slashes). You shouldn't have to program anything special for dealing
with the new format. Simply update your CCS properties accordingly.
