I have a session that is saved using the CCSetSession command, and basically on the next page a login form. I cant work out what is going on but since i have moved to ccs4 it has starting deleting this session. The session is called orderid, so there is no reason for the login form to delete it, but it still does. Can anyone help? I dont know what it is but i can only put it down to the form deleting the session. I know that the login creates a session for being logged in but it isnt called this. Please some help....:-(

Look at the file common.php scroll down to the bottom to find the CCLoginUser script and you will see that session_unset() has been replaced with CCLogoutUser(). Delete this row if you do not want to automatically logout before login. Do not re-instate session_unset() see http://au.php.net/manual/en/function.session-unset.php for the reason.

I am having a lot of trouble with lost session variables and am in discussion with Yes Software support currently awaiting a response. Does anyone know where to insert the session_save_path?

Check with your ISP to see if there are any special setup requirements for PHP sessions, particularly session.save_handler "files" and session_save_path. If you are using dedicated hosting then you can check the configuration in your php.ini file.

My testing demonstrates that sessions work OK on localhost but not when published to our ISP web hosting server. Any enlightenment would be appreciated.
