Joomla provides a "Wrapper" module that enables you to use a Joomla Template for a PHP page that was not developed within Joomla.

I am experiencing conflicts between Joomla session handling and CCS session handling. I am using additional session variables and have security enabled on all CCS pages and am about to try utilising the Joomla tables "jos_users" and "jos_sessions" before I give up and use two sites one for Joomla and a second for CCS.

A translation of the German post would be enlightening as it makes reference to the wrapper jos_users and jos_sessions.

On the Joomla forum there is a post from someone developing a generic bridge for Joomla logon and sessions.

Were you able to connect to Joomla MySQL at all ?
