Dear all,
I've got an error message "Error:pCXCConverter->backTransformationWithDOM failed".
When I edit my textbox, the CodeCharge Studio closes and reports that there are some errors.
I can no longer edit my textbox because it would shut down the application...><"
I am using v4.00.00.15 and I found that this version resolved IDE error "pCXCConverter->backTransformationWithDOM failed"...
This is found in the link: http://support.yessoftware.com/updates.asp
Can anyone help me?? T^T
Best wishes,
Rachel

Hi Rachel
That is a known problem with earlier versions on version 4. I had reported that error to Yes on several different scenarios that caused that failure.
According to Yes there are many cases that cause that problem and I know of 2 that they have fixed for sure.
I suggest you upgrade to the current version. I have not had that problem since I upgraded to version 4.1
Hope that helps.
Check out http://ccselite.com for more CCS information

Hi
I never came across that error condition for that one. Have you tried upgrading to the latest version?

I just started getting the same error with version 4.1.00.026.
I get a page generation error but CCS has not crashed, at least yet.
I was just editing text on the page in design view.
This is what surrounds my text entry of 'Welcome to Accrete Group'. There was text in the exact same location without page generation error until I changed it.
" <div class="BlockContent-body">
<div>
<h2><a href="#" ccsserviceable="true">Welcome to Accrete Group</a></h2>
<div class="entry">"
UPDATE:
I noticed the HTML for this page had the first line twice so I removed one of the duplicate lines. The duplicate line is:
"<!ccsdoctype html public "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">".
After I removed the line the page generated without error. If I added one letter to the text I was modifying the extra line is put in immediately automatically and then when generating I get the error again.
I repeated this several times to make sure what was happening.
I also changed the text directly in the HTML edit tab and then generated a page without any error. So for me it is the CCS Disign interface that appartly has a bug in it.
FURTHER UPDATE:
Further testing sheds a little more light. I removed both HTML lines that started with "<!ccsdoctype" at the top of the page. CCS replaces the line when generating the page but then does not put in a second line. Perhaps both lines were not exactly the same as I indicated before.
The behavior now is when I edit the text in design mode as soon as I either click on the HTML edit tab or generate the page the following message appears in the notes window
"Error:pCXCConverter->backTransformationWithDOM failed". However, the page generates without furhter error. So it is just a error message to ignor now, at least on that page.

Hi
Have you sent this info to Yes Support?
I would do that so they can take a closer look at it.

This problem has plagued me with CSS in every version except 4.1 (so far). Basically the html page is then so damaged that you need to create a new page. If you see the pCXCConverter->backTransformationWithDOM failed"...
error close the page without saving and reopen it. I suggest regular saves so you don't go too far back.
The latest problem I have found with 4.1 is where you try to drag and drop a form field in a record or grid. CCS just shuts down or you get the windows crash error and can't save. I have learnt to cut and paste rather than drag and drop, oh and save regularly!
Otherwise a great tool that I use in preference over Adobe CS3.3 Web Premium because it speeds up development 5 fold.
Cheers

Unfortunately, this problem still exists for me even with the latest version (4.1.00.027). I have opened a support ticket with Yes (983936675), however there has been no resolution yet.
