I really like the ability to add menus in CCS ...

I DON'T LIKE THE CSS meny styles and JavaScripts generated ...
I WISH IF THIS GENERATED A PURE UL LIST (AS IT DOES)
BUT THE OPTION TO EXCLUDE MENU CSS AND JAVASCRIPTS.
GIVE JUST THE ABILITY TO DEFINE OWN MENU ID or CLASSES so we can use our custom CSS menus.

All the menu "framework" afx is pissing me off with lot of CSS and JS garbage for something simple ...

If You want keep it, but allow us to have an option to not publish or include JS/CSS ...

If you let just create nice UL lists would be great and would save time creating own functions that creates UL lists ...
The component is there just don't tie it with boring CSS/JS
Thank You

great news
i got right answer from support:

You can already use your custom css style. If you don't want any style to be automatically applied to the menu, just select No Style on the last step of the Menu Builder.

Thanks a lot :-)

feha,
I agree that all styles provided with CCS look a lot like very first Internet pages 15 years ago.
I always use my own styles.

What do you think of Artisteer?
Have you tried it?

I kind of like SiteGrinder Photoshop plug-in more for flexibility.

Hi George
Yes I bought one pro license ...
It looks promising but the css code is still far away from "clean".
It adds lot of "garbage" i suggested them to separate the IE6 related css into conditional include ...
this way the css code would be more readable and when IE6 "die" just remove IE6 css :-)

I suggested that they should add the way to define custom tags for layout, this way it could generate any layout for any CMS ...

I still don't like extensive use of SPANS and DIVS just to create rounded corners ...
And there is still some things to improve before it can be used for professional production.

So far is the best automated layout generator ...

:-)

Hi guys

Did the ability include menus ever get fixed, just tried again with the latest version and it didn't work?

I use YAML Framework for my templates and modify with StyleMaster. I don't know about the code Artisteer produces, but as a designer it's far to structured for me.

For me they worked, but i'm still using my own php class for navigation.
The menu builder have some problems as if you don't select style it tries to put some empty JS ...
Yes it works with includes now (at least php).
But i still stick with my own solution ...
