My installation crashes at least 4 times a day. Anyone have the same problem, any ideas what it could be.

I'm on the latest version.

Several crashes a day with 4.1.00.27 on XP SP2. Looks like a running out of memory.
It starts with strange copy paste behaviors (Time to save fast), short time later CCS crashes.

Version 4.1.00.27 crashes quite frequently for me too.
Loading a new workspace used to be immediate. It now takes several seconds.
Initialising "autocomplete" (Tools | enable autocomplete) can also take a long time (this is not a Version 4.1.00.27 thing though).

Same problem here with 4.1.00.027 / Vista Business. In my case, CCS crashes each and every time I try to insert a form like path, panel, image link, etc into a page/component.

Me too. If the project is bigger, it will crash more easily.
My project contained 600 files, program will be crashed about every 20 min.
It seems the program had memory leak bug. The memory grow up soon.
I am using XP SP2 in traditional chinese environment.

I would agree about the memory and the cut / paste. seems to stop cut/pasting then bye bye no error nothing gone.

And me ...

I started a new project with 4.1.00.27 and CCS crashes at least three times a day (XP Pro).
I haven't analysed my movements or memory as yet. Adding my voice.

Same here. I reported it a while back. It is being researched.

I didn't have much to go on to diagnose. I have to save about every 5 minutes or so. I crash about once every 15-30 minutes of work.

The comment about the copy/paste function going awry is consistent with my system's behavior. An additional function that goes away before the crash: the delete key fails to forward-delete. I have to move the cursor and use the backspace key.

Another experience of mine consistent with the others: very minor crashing probs with the original upgrade to version 4.0.x, but severe problems with 4.1.x.

Hope that helps to get this diagnosed and resolved.

Lane you have described my problem exactly! I just had an instance where I wanted to delete some static text and the delete key would not work so had to backspace instead. Tried to copy some text and bang! Gone! I save every 30 minutes or so to prevent spending all my time reworking.
Something is very wrong here!

Does anyone know if the recent update addresses this issue? If not why fix anything if you can't fix crashing?

CCS 4.1.00.031 on Vista 62 bit Vista

VS 2008 installed - random crashes 3 or 4 times per session.... it wouldn't be so bad if it saved a snapshot before it died :(

I've had to setup a virtual 32bit XP machine and run codecharge in there as its much more stable and much less prone to crash.

I see your problem right away....you are missing 2 bits;>0

Vista Ultimate 32....no crashes on cut and paste any more since the update.
I think there might have been a memory leak also before cause it used to slow down in proportion to my session duration, either that or I slowed down the longer I worked.
In eather case that seems to be not an issue now.

Now, if the docs were updated to cover in greater detail the newer AJAX features of 4.xxx all would be right with the world....

*** WARNING ***
Version .32 PROBLEMS more insidious than a crash.

Now the cut and paste problems are more devastating than a crash. There is now an autosave function running in CodeCharge, so as you type the pages are being saved. When cut and paste begins to fail then the program saves corrupted pages and you have no idea.

I contacted tech support and got the standard "we cant reproduce - send us screen shots", if anyone can tell me how to take screen shots of a crash and corruption while it is happening, please let me know.

This system does NOT have Visual Studio on it and is running Win2K
