Hello, i need to create several session variables with more data from the db when the user successfuly logs in the application so ther grids "read" this variables and query the db acordingly
Could someone shed some light ?

You can use CCS function like
$your_var = get this in some way;
CCSetSession("You_session_Label_nome", $your_var);

In which event should this be done (using the login) ?

If you use standard Login form then you can see that login happened in Login_button - OnClick event: you can see Login action here. So add just Custom code after this event and put here appropriated code you need.
