Hi Guys,
I have created a custom style in a previous project and want to use it for my new project.
I copied the folder with the styles into my new projects style folder, however when i go to select in under project settings it isn't there.
So in order to get it to work I had to add a new style and delete that folder contents and replace with my custom style contents.
This works although when you look at the preview for the style it's all wrong, and makes it hard to make any additional customizations.
So i was wondering if there is a way to copy or import/export styles from project to project?

Can't recall the exact steps used to do this. I'll rip through my docs
to see if I can find it and report back.
However, this is a major PITA to deal with, and totally surprised Yes
hasn't addressed it yet. In our environment where we are using the CVS
features, the styles created by one person aren't propagated to the CVS
for other developers to use. They have to be manually transfered like
what you've referred to.
In our Web 2.0 world, this seems to be a major oversight, yet Yes seems
to be more interested in fiddling around with Artisteer nonsense.

Hello!
You cannot just copy a Style folder between project folders and expect that copied Style get available as project Style (Project Settings -> Styles).
You can add a Style from CodeChargeStudio4\Components\Styles folder only to use it in your project.
Make sure that <CustomStyleName> subfolder exists under CodeChargeStudio4\Components\Styles before applying it to CCS project.
Also if you want to store your styles somewhere in different location you can use Export/Import option of Style Builder

Therein is the design flaw Nicole. A project should not have to rely
upon the presence of the style in the local machine's install directory
- it should be project based, thus allowing it to be transportable to
other machines and/or CVS members.

Try... Tools -> Styles. Select the style you wish to export and press the Export button.

Yes, that works perfectly Rick. Thanks. However, the necessity of
having to do that negates the whole point and purpose behind using CVS,
or at least making projects completely transportable.
