Hi Everyone,

I upgraded to 4.1 and the "generation" of pages now takes 10 times as much
as it used to. Is anyone experiencing this problem?

Sometimes it depends on what's on the page. I have a page with 4 update panels and one containing a tabbed view and it takes a while. Other pages seem to be Ok, not as fast as it used to be, but CCS is much more sophisticated so I guess that's the reason.

I'm finding it a lot slower too. One thing I changed that appeared to make a difference (not a tremendous one) is my connection for design mode. I was using 'build my own connection string' and when I changed them to use an odbc source, I saw an improvement. Just a thougth.

Jan K. van Dalen,
If the generation of pages is that significant then you also might want to contact support as well. They maybe able to give you some assistance in reducing the generation time ( http://support.yessoftware.com ).

It takes ages to generate the Design view in my installation...

Patience is a virtue, :-/
