Hi

Well we finally got around to setting up the media library at CCSElite.

The first installment is a turorial on how to start using CCS using PHP and MySql environments.

It can be viewed at.

http://ccselite.com/media_library.php

Not Perfect but at least our first shot at it.....

Any suggestions for additional topics will be appreciated. Please post your suggestions at CCSElite.com

Hope this one helps new users to get started.

Have Fun.

My thoughts,
I stopped watching about 1/2 of the way through the video.

Reasons:
You are limiting your viewers to PHP and MYSQL.

Please understand I fully support your project.
Title: Getting started with CCS
Video subject: Getting started with MYSQL. and creating a database to use with CCS.

CCS is a generic tool for many databases and languages (PHP, ASP, ASP.NET and Java). I would hope that any new CCS user understands databases and how to install and create a table. If not they should not buy CCS

Suggestions:
I would try to keep the video generic.

* Connection string (this is how to connect to MYSQL, your database may be different)
* Using CCS is the same for all languages unless you add custom code... again stay generic! If you add custom code then state that this example is for PHP your language will be different (but simular, same events etc).

Keep up the good work.
BTW I tried to join about a month ago and never got a email.
Ather these comments you may not want me as a member. lol
If you do I would like to join.

Thanks for your feedback.

Yes this tutorial was targeted at PHP and MySql. That is what I have on my development machine and am not familiar with the other environments.

However, much of the concepts are the same.

Absolutely we would like you as a member.

And, Since CCSE is a community, we invite you to add your tutorial to the site and share with the rest of us.

Thanks

John,

What am I missing if I do not see the video? In FF, it just shows a blank, larger than the screen media player. In IE7, it shows the media player and goes on forever with "connecting to media."

Thanks,
Chris

Chris

I really have no idea except possibly your internet connection failed for some reason.

The video server used to display the tutorials has been tested and works in all 5 major browsers. FF, NetScape, Safari, Opera, and IE

Try closing all your browser windows and retry viewing the video in one browser window open only.

Let me know.

Thanks

FYI,
The word "available" is not spelled correctly on the first page.
I'm getting ready to watch the video. Thanks for putting it together.

John,
thanks, but I still am not able to get on. I have cable that seems to get me on other sites before and after. I tried Opera, IE, and FF. none worked, just showed me a big screen.

Hi,

Cannot get it to play either. Using a mac with ff and safari. Quicktime kicks in and then says: invalid url

I'll try in windows.

worked fine for me. XP/SP2

the video scrubber (horiz thumb) would not work. And when I moved the window it lagged a little in updating the screen. maybe those are DemoCharge issues?
