hello,
on Gridsite, one Recordsite. The RecordFrom gets the id from the Grid, but i don't want to Update the Record, i would like to Insert this one into the same table.

So i leave the hidden ID-Field blank in before show, but if i change the update button to action INsert the button is not shown anymore.

has anyone a solution?
Thank you!

that wont work without some more fiddling I think...
one way might be to not pass the id in the url, but pass all the other paramters to a new recordgrid (with Insert and not Update) and then use CCGetParam to get the values from the url

i wonder, where codecharge save the id for update, i have no hidden field, but ccs makes the update in the correct form.
i try to set update not allowed and make a custom update with insert...

what are you trying to do?
it sounds like you want to select an existing record and then hit submit to create a duplicate record with a new id

Hi,

Than just make your insert button visible and hide your update button.

Think I saw that somewhere on the forum, search for: duplicate or clone record.

Hope this helps,

Rene
