I have a grid named photodbase
this grid has records from a mysql table
in this grid i have a label in which i want to show information from a different table. Both tables have a corresponding field with the name album.

My label has a dlookup action:

expression: description
domain: albums
criteria: "album=".$photodbase->album->GetValue()
connection: connection1
convert result to: text
type of target: control
target: description

In the grid the hidden field album exists, showing the name of the album
However, there are no browser errors but the description label is empty
What do I do wrong ?

Hi Gena, unfortunately this makes no difference. Still no text in my label ...
Do you think my criteria is good ?

try to put some echo before to check if you get good value

echo $photodbase->album->GetValue();

or ever why don't you use VQB and make some JOIN with your related table? then just show field you need.
