I use the Pop Up Window link tool from codechargetools.com (its free!)

I make the link a red Question Mark and put it in strategic places.

It opens a Pop Up Window... the Help text is in a grid, filtered by a value in the url, showing the help text for that page.

This way the help text is stored in a database and you can make admin pages to edit/update

Thanks - I was on the right track... already downloaded the tool. I like the database option... not quite sure how to implement the URL to cause page selection but I will take a stab at it. I assume this is a column in the database acting as the WHERE statement for the grid display.
