This is a first for me. I have seen others having the same problem but no solution.

I have a standard CCS login page that redirects to index.php.

The login refuses to work and simply refreshes itself with this parameter at the end of the URL:

/login.php?ret_link=%2Findex.php&type=notLogged

Unrestricted the index.php works perfectly with data coming through so the connection is not a problem. As soon as I restrict it, the login fails. Passwords and user names are correct. This works perfectly on my server and local machine but not on the live site.

Any ideas would be most welcome!

can you try setting some other sessions and see if they work?
if not log a support case with your hosting provider.

The problem was that the sessions folder was not correctly set on the server.
