Does anyone have a sample for implementing custom login? I want to verify login with a directory server. I know how to check the login with directory. But would like a way to fit it in CC.

Nagu,
create Custom Login event and obtain generated code. Then modify it the way you need. Just keep in mind that after login/password verification you should create session variable.
