Was it ever possible to have update panels in tab panels or am I dreaming it?
This new version is getting worse, the crashes close the whole program, no warning!

Nope I wasn't dreaming! I've done it the same project using the previous version of CCS.

have you reported this to support? they should be made aware of this and hopefully they can resolve it soon.

Thanks for replying J, In the past I would have no hesitation... then they started saying we can't replicate it so...more recently they say cos I don't pay for support they can't help?
err I'm reporting a problem with their software not asking how to use it?
So no I haven't is the answer

waspman - if you create a blank page with an update panel in a tab panel does it work? if it works on a simple/new page but not in your page then it might be a support issue. if it doesnt work on the simple/new page then it might be a bug/problem....
personally i think the support fee is worthwhile - i hardly ever log a support issue but i know its there if i need it - along with upgrades...

what version worked for you? what version are you having problems with? I can try it on my system and see if I can duplicate the problem in a simple example.
also I agree with damian 100% on the support thing. I use CCS in my sold projects so the cost for support is trivial by comparison. and I use it every time I hit a wall. heck, support has actually given me working code to implement things I was working on. in my experience they are outstanding.

Thanks guys sorted it!
Had to rebuild the page only took a DAY!!!! I hate upgrading
Re- support you're right it's great! In the early days it was a lifeline, but more and more lately it's been about upgrade issues and that, for me, is a matter of principle.
If I supply a product to someone I fix it if it doesn't work, I don't charge them?
