Hello. I just put up a little board for a new CodeCharge Community.

I am hoping to get some good CodeCharge discussions, and even better, some good FILE UPLOADS (projects, code, etc.).

I am still working on getting some graphics, etc.
If anyone has a good logo, upload it, and I may use it!

If its popular, I will get a different domain name.

Doesn't this forum already do this ?, other than fragment the codecharge community what else do splinter groups like this provide. I'm not having a go at you personally Scott, but I think it would better if GotoCode.com was enhanced rather than seeing other fringe websites setup. Rather than coming to one complete resource we will now have check and search 3-4 sites to get help or share ideas.

What do others here think ?

I think this site should be upgraded....but fragmenting it into multiple communities may hurt the actual return on posts. I like your board, but I really think everything codecharge should stay here. Nothing personal.

Hey - I totally agree... Everything and everyone is already here...
But guess what: I havent seen any enhancements in months to this discussion group.... and who do we have to convince to make enhancements? (maybe someone reading this??)

Anyway, thats one reason I think a new board is valuable. Plus, if you have ever used a discussion board other than this one, you know this one is extremely difficuly to use. Normally discussion boards have powerful search functions, options for when your message is replied to that you get an email, and of course... file attachments! I could go on and on...

So finally, if everyone thinks its a stupid idea... it doesnt matter to me, I just think its too bad that there is not a better online tool for codecharge to have discussions and the like. Well, mine is up - if people want to use it, feel free.

Maybe someday there will another one... Maybe this one will be improved to have all the normal great features of a mainstream discussion board... I wont hold my breath.

ALso --

Maybe this other discussion board can be used at least "for now" just for purposes of trading cool project files, custom code, and extensions?? Thats basically an ability that is not well suited to this forum "currently", so maybe until better search and organization capabilities are added here, we use this other board?

Once again, pulling people away from here and splitting them up will cause two places of posting. I for one don't wanna have two boards for CC to go to. I am in 100% agreement with you, that your board has the normal features any frequent board roamer is used to, like snitz forums or vbulletin. No argument there, but I still think the board should reside here, and not go back and forth. Not shooting your idea down, I just don't think it would be fun to bounce back and forth. And whether you wanna admit it or not, bouncing back and forth would ultimately be what happens.

Ok, so I think we all agree...
So the next question is:
How do we get this board upgraded?
I for one really would like to see a place that acts as a library for sample projects, code snippets, extensions, etc....

I suppose it would take a member of codecharge to revise the site...or let someone else revise it. Any words codecharge staff? THey are very busy with studio etc, so maybe one of us can volunteer for the project?
