I know that this may already be developed but can we have a Poll on what we would like to see in future versions.
My suggestion is that Yes software accepts suggestions via email, and decides what is in their view, deliverable within their product - they control the poll and then get registered members to vote under the members area.
I want to give feedback - but we all get off-topic sometimes with issues so I want to assist with focus. I may not like the outcome but I would like to be part of the democratic process.
I know that are certain features I would like to see - but have gone to 3rd parties to deliver them.
Is anyone else of this view?
Edd

Hello Edd,
Your idea of the Poll is good, we have the wishes section but now there is not a way to see a graph with the most voted requested features. This will help a lot Yes engineers to establish the direction to further develop and evolve this nice tool.
Best regards

Not a poll but here are some enhancements I'll love to see in CCS 5.0
1) Full integration with Artisteer (I know this is harder than it sounds but
their offices are less than 2 miles apart, get together for lunch and find a
solution :) )
2) Data Grid, more customization (i.e. allow users to move/hide columns,
allow sub parent/child grids ... http://www.telerik.com/products/aspnet-ajax/grid.aspx#hierarchical-grids )
3) Allow Record Controls/Panels inside Record Controls/Panels (i.e. Grid
inside Grid or Record inside Grid ... http://www.ironspeed.com/products/Pages.aspx#TableInTable)
4) Day & Week Calendars
5) Add audit to the security area.
6) Lastly, documentation, documentation, documentation .... including
samples (specially in the Ajax arena).

Sorry Jan, this is where you need a poll, as an example NONE of your requests are on MY radar.

I'd be happy to see a roadmap of the general direction of the toolset. ideas submitted by the community should certainly be considered (and probably are).
here are a few of my suggestions,
A-List
1) improve/finish the documentation
2) work on stability - I still lose work from time to time for no apparent reason
3) fix the integration between Design view and HTML view - in Dreamweaver I can select code in either window and when I switch views that same code is still selected
B-List
1) improve integration with Dreamweaver which is by far the most widely used web design tool
2) add AJAX support for other libraries
3) provide more builders that do things for me
4) add more Actions
X-List (things we hope Yes does NOT do!)
1) don't waste time and resources on Artisteer. Unless Yes buys this tool I see any investment in it as risky. That investment could be better spent on what Yes controls.
2) don't waste time on a user-supported wiki - just fix the documentation!
3) don't try and roll out a bunch of major new features until most of the outstanding issues have been addressed.

REAL EXAMPLES WITH PROPER DOCUMENTATION
I find it extremely annoying that working with this product involves hours of experimentation trying to figure out how the inadequately documented examples actually work.
While new features are great, telling people about the actual existing ones would be awesome.
I know I'm not the only one griping to Yes Software about the complete neglect of complete useful documentation in Yes Software Codecharge Studio, but I figure if we yell enough about it we might make google searches on this topic.
And as marketing images tell us, the customer disatisfaction iceberg goes a long way to impacting sales.

Which ones will you like? BTW, I would think that Yes has already decided
on the feature set for 5.0. If not, we may not see anything for at least 1
more year.

Just want to add my 2 cents..
I want the ability to have the "Remove Parameters" feature to be non-case sensitive in ASP.

I would love a report that shows me all my pages and their security-groups and if SSL is on-off.
There use to be something like this a long time ago but it disappeared.

If I am looking for anything from CCS I would like to see the following:
1. The option to generate DIV's instead of tables - I am always asked this at new clients who have their own web staff.
2. A built in Javascript date AND time picker - preferably with an ajax service to validate a calendar.
3. The separation of database classes from common classes - this would make distribution of packages so much easier.
4. Consistency in component builder outut (you use the application builder versus the grid or record builder and you get different options.
5. More events - example a post validation event.
---------------
Things I know they cannot deliver but I would like:
Integration to a decent report writer not just dumb HTML packages.
---------
Cheers - Edd
