[Update: This was resolved by paulmason411 response below, a new dll from Yes Software. Thank you very much. It was not a CodeChargeTool problem but a CCS issue.]

A bug (which should be fairly easy to correct) was discovered in the page that uses the CodeChargeTools code that I needed to fix. I opened it up in CCS design mode which it did without a problem. However, I cannot get at any of the code, as soon as I try (for example, click on the Code tab) CS goes into limbo and I have to end the process with Windows Task Manager. I also cannot copy the page because CCS gives an error message and ultimately hangs in it's attempted gereration process. The same thing happens if I try to publish it.

I am using the latest version of CCS, 4.2.00.040.

Specifc errors before ultimately crashing are:

I first get a dialog box with 'Error during Page Publishing' and then
the following:

Generating "timetrack_090215_2"
Error:Error occurred while transforming
Module generator

Error:Internal error. Error occurred while generating the page.
Error:Error occurred while generating the "timetrack_090215_2" page. (1)
Generating "timetrack_090215_2"
Error:Internal error. Error occurred while generating the page.

Generating "timetrack_090215_2"
Error:Internal error. Error occurred while generating the page.
Error:Error occurred while generating the "timetrack_090215_2" page. (1)

Since this is such a critical page I have numerous versions and backups of the file but the same thing happens on all the backups (the above error message was on one of the backups). I have not modified this file siince Feb. 2009 and it worked fine with CCS as of then. I am not getting this error on any other pages or in any other projects.

Could it be that my CodeChargeTools install/files became corrupted? [Update: As stated above it was a CCS problem, not a CodeChargeTool problem.]

I am desparate and at a loss in how to deal with this. I would really appreciate any help on this.

Thanks.

Rick

I also had this problem, so i contacted support and got the following solution:

Quote :
Please install a new CCDB.dll file that should fix the problem.

For this back up the existing CCDB.dll file located in your CodeChargeStudio4.1.00.032 installation folder and download the patch from:

http://support.yessoftware.com/files/CCdb.zip

Extract the new CCDB.dll in your CodeChargeStudio4.1.00.032 folder replacing the original CCDB.dll.

After that register this dll manually using regsvr32 command, like:
regsvr32.exe CCDB.dll

Run CCS and try to reproduce the problem. It should disappear. This patch should be include in the next CCS update.

Works for me, however I've had to re-run the dll when I installed the latest version of codecharge
