I think there is a problem with CCS under Win7:
The Windows copies all my project files to
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\CodeChargeStudio4\Projects\<projectname\
Because of that hidden location, using Dremaweaver as external editor, it doesn't opens the html template for pages.
Did I miss something here? (or I should file a ticket for this?)
Thanks for all,

You are right, but it seems CCS also have other problems with Windows 7.

I think better if I go back to the gold-old-proven XP :)

Use the XP in virtual mode and forget your pains...

Thanks Melvyn,

IMHO the best enviroment for CCS development is XP. I recommend to wait with the Windows 7 (RC, Beta, etc), because it has other little problems.

Issues:
- UTF8 encoding issues (PHP/mySQL) - must set explicitly in the Common.php to use UTF8 for DB connection
- File permission issues (turn off UAC)
- Using external editor (ex. Dreamweaver) gives you an error. Vista introduced the virtual storage feature, it also exists in Win7. I found no way to disable it for CCS.
- Random CCS crashes, even if I run it in XP SP2 mode. (You have to re-register and re-activate your license for that!!!)

So I recommend everybody to use CCS 4.x with XP.
Thanks,

R.

Hello quasimidi,

Despite the slow performance of Vista in my Duo T8100/4G RAM, CCS 4.2 runs ok, normally it do not crash unless I have 2 sessions opened with all my graphics editors, a couple of CCS projects, 10 tabs in Explorer, 15 tabs in Firefox, 5 tabs in Safari, email and the ativirus scanning the computer at midday.

Best regards

All of my problems was solved by turning off UAC, then reboot my notebook :)
