 PROBLEM WITH IDE

part of my CCS menus disapearewd. Instead I can see only buttons-like rectangles (no text). Also on the drop-down list components I canno see the highlighted ites (looks like it i white on white). Amazingly when I open yessoftware.com their top menu is invisible (with similar effect as in CCS). This happens in IE and FFOX as well and it looks like it is related to CCS IDE. I have never seen such a behaviour,.. and it basicaly prevents me from using CCS at the moment. I tried to reinstally it but no success.

Any help will be appreciated.

amazingly when I 'm in forum the top menu on YS site looks good

I had similar problem. Supports said:

To resolve the IDE issue please try uninstalling CCS3 again, then use "regedit" program in Windows to delete the following registry directories:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\YesSoftware\CodeChargeStudio3
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\YesSoftware\CodeChargeStudio3
Then install the latest CCS version. It should help.

I took you advice, reinstalled CCS and had a hell of the time with YesSoftware activation. They initialy refused activation and it took some argument to make my CCS working, which is a SHAME! Because honest people who pay for the license should have no problems like this.

I WISH FINALLY YesSoftware will make some way of backing up a license so if the system has to be reinstalled or just copy of CCS it is nos such a PAIN !!

just send and email CCS they will add more activiation time is all are ok.

i resinatlled CCS like 5 time same day, testing vista32 y 64bit(resintaling Vista also)

not problem at all.

after swithcing from one OS to another i have to open a ticket for new activiation.
thank god they replyed same day.

now when i do stuff like that i open a ticket in advanced.

I had a herll of the time to explain and get new activation,..! This SUCKS!

now after 2 weeks I got into same problem again. CCS just crashed !

I have reinstalled CCS 3 times and every time after few days same situation happens


THIS IS STILL UNRESOLVED

have you tried doing it on another computer or reinstalling your operating system... no one else is reporting similar problems...

damian, I see.

btw this problem (in general) does exists. I have even didn't understand why it happenes. Menu and text just disapeared, and I have not changes anything in OS settings or CCS.

hmm ok. what is your environment? maybe you and optron have some common setup that induces this error? there are so many possible configurations/combinations that some are bound to conflict or cause issues. possibly try running win xp in a vm or virtual pc and only install your required ccs environment - ccs, php, asp, apache, iis, mssql, mysql, access etc and keep it seperate from your other apps.
i dont run ccs in that environment but i regularly run up test servers or computers in vms when i need to test something (usually not programming - but the idea is the same)...

I run CCS 3 on normal PC: just XP SP3

The problem is that this problem occures without any reason.

I also have had this problem.

Do not know what made it happen.

Fixed it the same way, Support tellingf me to re-install.

No explaination from support as to the cause.
