very nice Flash charts, XML -driven, for free!

http://www.fusioncharts.com/free/

now if someone here can just integrate these into a CCS builder I'll be happy!

How does FusionCharts compare to ChartDirector? (http://www.advsofteng.com)

Is it better?

not familiar with ChartDirector but I looked at the link you provided.

first thing I noticed is they are not animated charts like FusionCharts.

they appear to be server-generated which likely indicates a requirement for server components that might not be pre-installed or available at all on a shared host.

they do not offer a free, open-source version.

I'd go with Fusion as they are technology-agnostic; they are just Flash! and they look better with chart animation. and you get source code. and they are free. lots of reasons!

Thanks for the reply.

The reason I ask is that I once purchased a license for ChartDirector, but never have had the time to start using it.
I am not familiar with FusionCharts, but I think I will look into it. Graphical charts and Flash seems to me like a perfect match.

Jimmy, did you ever look at Open Flash Chart?

Beautiful animated charts and it's open source too.

They have libraries for PHP, Java, .NET, ... and many
more.

I think it has many more chart types than the open
source version of Fusion Charts.

yes, I checked the previous version of Open Flash Chart but most of their charts are not animated. I prefer the moving charts!

Oper, can you describe what is involved in integrating FusionCharts with CCS dev environment?
