I have a problem creating the connection for the "Employee Directory" tutorial. The problem is that the "Server" tab looks nothing like in the tutorial. It has no check box for selecting "Same as Design". So, I cannot save the connection. It wants me to enter a connection name for whatever PHP Database Library selection is made and the same ANSI SQL-92 from the Design tab isn't available. Using CCS 4.3, which I just downloaded for evaluation.

Help!

Thanks,

Merrill

Hi Merril

CCS ver 4.3 was only released 5 days ago.

As is typical with new realeses anymore, Yes has broken stuff that always worked before and added new bugs.

There is another post where ver 4.3 broke datepicker and display of images. Also now on crashes the project settings get erased now.

It seems Yes's QA program leaves alot to be desired.

This is a catch 22. It has proven never to install a new release until all the bugs are out of it, usually 2 or 3 months.

But f course if there are no brave ones to bite the bullet and download the new relaease, the bugs might not get found.

I wish there was a solution for this as I spend more time battling the IDE bugs and quirks with each new release than I do writing code anymore.

I this case, it was my error. I neglected to change the database selection to "MS Access". I just began trying out CCS today, so I'm very new to the product and learning fast.

I didn't realize, however, this version is so new. I suppose it makes it even that much more difficult for such a newbie.

Thank you,

Merrill
