Hi, I am trying to access an MySQL Database, the data table where large data stored in utf8 character set format and data previously stored through SMForum application (php & MySQL). Data in a Table clearly visible in readable format and the data looks exactly the same in SMC forum application(http).

I've created grid view in CCS4 trial with for same table and the data displayed as "Sample Data, ??? ????? ?? ? ??? ?? " where as the setting in Locales and encoding is in UTF8 and the file and html charset is utf8 and manually the HTML page charset is in UTF8.

Also I would like to share that; i;ve created the data entry grid for same table and i;ve entered same above which is visible in CCS4 grid view as same as entered one; where as the data stored in MySQL is like this ( Sample data "سمپلے دØا " )

How do I fix this problem ?

Please help me...!

Thanks in advance to all

Hi beshoo;

Thanks for your message; I tried all possible ways available in CCS4 settings, html charset; mySql UTF-8. but it didn't work. Yeah I found that after theses setting whatever data updated looks perfect but in MySQL data seems like garbled.

I found solution by adding 2 lines in common.php. and yup it worked.

Thanks anyways..

what are those two lines?? Let us share knowledge.

By the way, if you make UTF-8 database and start inserting new records, you will notice that Arabic works fine.
