ok, totaly noob question

     $Label1->CCSEvents["BeforeShow"] = "Label1_BeforeShow";   

what does the little arrow "->" actually mean, what does it do, what is its name ?

whats it mean? i think of it like a component or branch...
eg you can have:
$page->grid->label->action
whats it called? its that little arrow thing...

I think it is named an "Arrow Operator".

It is used for referencing a method or property of an object.
