I've got a grid page that takes me to a detail page. The detail page has an update panel. When I change data on the detail and save, it stays on the detail page. This is fine. Once I've saved once, I click cancel to go back to the grid page. Now I see the following in my URL:
IsParamsEncoded=true&FormFilter=MasterPanel
Then when I click another entry in the grid to view the detail, I get the detail page but it's all jacked up...that is, there's no styling applied. When I view source, I don't see <html> or <head> or <body>, only the stuff inside the <body> tag. If I remove the extra stuff from the URL, the page is fine.
Any ideas on this?

I am by no means an expert.. but I had similar issues when using update panels.
I removed the URL FormFilter when the record updates/inserts and remove it if the user clicks on a "Go Back" link.
Once that variable is gone from the URl, the styles show up fine.
