I'm having a weird problem. I am using CCS4.2 and have been for some time.
Yesterday, I started a new project and all was going well, configured Pub dirs etc.
I then created a connection (which I have done hundreds of times), using a DSN (which works fine). I configured the Initial Catalog and Server Time etc. When I tried to use the connection I got an error indicating that the connection was invalid (or something, I didn't Snagit),
Anyway, I looked at the properties of the connection string and it was only partially completed. So, I just created a new one using a Connection String and built it accordingly, set MARS etc. Even tried without MARS.
Again, when I tried to use the connection, I got another error. We tried this on another system that runs exactly the same version and it's ok.
Ran several Virus and Malware scans with nothing found. Ran Bitdefender and Panada RescueCD scans - no issues. Also ran BartPE with McAfee command scanner - again no issues.
If I copy the connection string (from another project's ASP page) it works fine. I just re-installed and now it is fine. However, this doesn't answer (deal) with the underlying issue as to why.
This just started happening and we've never had this before. Does anyone have any ideas here?
Just in case it happens again.
