Some months ago somebody told something about some screenshots...

Since my license recently expired, and I'm not actively using CCS (last project on CCS was on 7 months ago), I'm curious on what CCS wil bring to us with CCS 5.0.

Netbeans is generating code as CCS and pretty busy with java, a language which I never used in CCS...

Jan van Dalen
If you have a valid license number then you can go to the customer area ( http://www.yessoftware.com/customers/customer_login.php...&type=notLogged ) type in your customer license number and you will get official upcoming information about CCS.

melvyn,
Your license number should allow you into the customer area as well.

Other then that I think Oper summed it up correct...soon...

Some speculation here....

Seeing as how MamboBrown has inside access and is currently going through the forums cleaning up any open-ended posts...methinks that a release is just around the corner... they don't want new users coming to the forums seeing lots of unresolved issues.

Crossing my fingers I can play with a new CCS over the summer.

There's one thing I don't understand about YS:

We love CCS, but get real: this isn't a wide-used tool. The forums is active because a very low number of users and the newcomers. YS works as if they had a wider users base hidden somwhere... We don't count, the product is perfect and flawless, and the majority of users are satisfied....

I don't understand them.

@ JimmyCrackedCorn,
I honestly don't have any inside track whatsoever about CCS 5.0. I just happen to really like the tool and am willing to wait until Yes is ready to reveal it to us. :-D

Yes there is a CCS 5.0

YesSoftware is in fact working on it and is very behind schedule due to the complexity of what CCS does.

Also, the target to support all the languages CCS supports makes the task that much bigger.

As far as I know there is no target date for release.

We all have to be patient and wait to see what happens.

Hi,

There are important business reasons why many companies do not release such information, others require NDAs from select groups of Beta testers, while discussing this publicly is especially not a good idea. I think that every software company, small or large, deals with the same problem on ongoing basis and we've also been impacted very negatively in the past by releasing information prematurely. Both Microsoft and Adobe complained about this issue in their financial statements, recently Apple. I think that anyone with business sense or simply selling any products knows what I'm talking about, others can find this from recent statements made by Apple - the keyword is "immensely". Anyone completely clueless can PM me.
