 Parsing Code Templates -- Slow??

Upon the first time I type a "$" or other character which requires the code templates to be parsed, how long should it take?

I moved from a dual-core XP-based machine to a very fast quad-core Windows 7 64-bit machines with 8G RAM, thinking it would be faster. Okay... it's a little faster, but it still takes between 90 and 135 seconds.

Is this normal for others? Or might I have a config problem?

If you disable autocomplete in Options then you won't get this time delay while CCS compiles all your variables for the autocomplete feature, but you won't get the autocomplete feature either.

Tools | Options - General category - Untick Enable autocomplete

If you can wait, then it only does it once until you close and reopen CCS. As you say, type $ or ( and it starts.

BTW This was a feature that started in CCS v4.2

Can't figure it out. Takes over 2 mins one a i7 8 core also. LOL

Takes about 30-40 seconds on my bootcamped MacBookPro.

But hey, you gotta take the rough with the smooth.
Look on the bright side, how much time do you waste (mis)typing out all that code and then trying to find the syntax errors... :-P

Heck.. I spend more time dealing with CCS bugs than coding most the time any more..

Be a good child this time and don't get Peter hungry again.
You were missed.
