Please take a look at this. I have read carefilly all tutorials and have downloaded latest Microsoft MDAC. Are the ODBC drivers different?

Anything in particular to look at?
Using CCSb4 with the above setup works fine for me.

Please look at my earlier posts you will see exact problem. It is basically saying I do not have a provider for JET 4.0 and OLE DB Provider. The microsoft website conforms thats these were never shipped with MDAC 2.6 and 2.7. I cannot figure out how to delete 2.7 and reinstall. They offer a tool but it does not work.

try to reinstall JET4.0

NICOLE I tried that last night. The only thing left is to reinstall XP. Which is an issue because I now realise that when KDS sold me this laptop they never gave me an XP DISK. I should have followed my hunch and reformatted my laptop when i bought it and used windows 2000
