I've submitted this issue to support but haven't had a response since
Friday.
When editing a page, I select a data field. I go to properties and click
on the field name. The pull down arrow shows other fields in the table.
When I click on the ellipses (...) button to open the sql editor,
nothing happens. I can't edit the query to limit the results.
I have a good connection to the database. It used to work and I can't
put my finger on any changes to my system. I have the latest version and
am using php/mysql. I've uninstalled/reinstalled (with some issues but
it worked) and I've repaired .NET. I'm running Win7 Pro 64bit.
Has anyone else encountered this issue? Thank you!

Hi Michael,
This definitely sounds like an issue for Yes Support. I'm surprised you've had no response.
From you description I have been able to replicate the behaviour. But I'm not sure it is a fault?
Not all "data fields" have/need a datasource "..." edit link.
1. If you click on a "data field" can you access the down arrow drop down in the control source field? This is where you can change the datasource's column.
2. If you click inside the record or grid but not on a "data field" can you access the data source '...'edit link?
3. If you click on a "data field" like a listbox can you access the data source '...' edit link?
If you answered Yes to each of these questions then I think CCS is working the way it is supposed to.
Hopefully, Yes Software support will respond soon,
All the best,
Don A

Correction. Support did respond but I didn't notice that there was a
page two to the ticket. Sorry support people.

I figured out the issue on my own. Being new to the software...ok, I
haven't used it in years. I was clicking on the field name to edit the
query. I should have selected the entire table so I could click on the
ellipses (...) next to the table name, not next to the field name. I
think a message of some sort or graying out the (...) would have been a
BIG help in letting me know that I was in the wrong area. The button
should not be active if it's not suppose to do anything.

I'm using the newsgroups...can I do that? Doesn't appear that I can.
