Hi,
Anybody knows any Java frameworks/IDE similar to Code Charge studio that does the same things to `Java Desktop based Database applications` that CCS does to web applications.

. CCS is cool but alas it is only for web apps.

Netbeans is an IDE full featured.

Java Server Faces (JSF) and Facelets will allow a similar behavior: set-up a database and the ide will connect and build forms for you.

Netbeans is free (open source).

I used JBuilder from Borland (now Embarcadero) 6 years ago. Try there (it's expensive).

I know and in fact been using it. But it doesn't allow the same kind of automation that CCS gives (e.g authentication and security, builders etc) and also has a big learning curve.

BTW JSF & faceletes are web frameworks and not meant for Desktop.

CodechargeStudio provides it's own web frameworks not meant for desktop neither.

Things you're looking for in security can be arranged with a wide variety of libraries
