ccs does not retrieve all fields from database table

I have created a connection to a database (tried both Access and MySQL) but only some fields of a table are retrieved and shown in drop-down boxes, for instance, in the Security Setting dialog screen.

I don't know why only some fields are displayed, in particular, it doesn't display the field containing the unique user ID which I need.

I have tried this with MySQL and Access and reinstalled both ODBC drivers without success.

Even if I have security off and try to create a form from a table the form doesn't not fully build the controls and doesn't open in the edit, nor does it let me delete it once the (incomplete) page is created. Which makes me think it may not be an ODBC problem but maybe the CCS application itself.

Any help would be appreciated please.

Hi,

No offense, but do you have a valid license? Symptoms are the same with trying to use a cracked CCS. If you have a valid license, i would contact support.

I suspect the downloaded file is 'out-of-date'. From within CodeCharge,
choose Help -> Submit a Support Request. That will send the appropriate
license information they'll need to isolate your issue.

CodeCharge support is excellent, and they'll help solve your problem.

markbraks,

You already tried CCS in March 2010, also October 2009, November 2008, June 2007, March 2007, September 2006, November 2005, October 2005, October 2004, June 2004 and April 2003.
It seems logical that the trial should no longer work for you and I'm not sure how you were able to make it work so many times and so long. I recommend purchasing the product if you want to continue using it. Your issue symptoms are consistent with artificial extensions of the trial expiration date.

Peter,

I understand the reasons for tracking the trial as you apparently do. Do you also track use by legit customers? I hope there is no spyware in the licensed version of CCS!

I have the same question as Jimmy. This is disturbing, I wonder how peter is collecting this data?

Yes, I have done many trials on many versions. Many attempts at starting applications but haven't run it beyond Trial. This is just another application idea I have I want to prototype. Thanks anyway.
