Hi folks,

Just wondering what would be the easiest way to pass Form values (Record Form) from a pop-up back to the parent Form window. The pop-up Form is going to generate a primary key, which the parent Form will use as a foreign key once submitted. Off the top of my head, I'm thinking of just setting a cookie, although I'm pretty things would work just as well using $Get and $Put. Anyway, I guess what I"m really looking for here is the "CodeCharge" way of doing things :-D.

TIA

Well, I looked at the example, and I didn't see any code associated with the thing. I downloaded the ExamplePack2, and noticed that all the code is in asp, and I'm using PHP. Not a big, as we all know that if u know one language, then u can read other languages as well. Anyone have any idea which example in ExamplePack2 would be associated with the aforementioned example?

TIA

Abn51 when you set up the example pack.. select PHP as the language... then you get the Example Pack in PHP

Well, I tried re-installing the examplepack2, and never saw an option to select a language.

Another conundrum :-D. After the pop-up window closes, a new version of the main page opens up instead of the original main page which holds data and is located on another tab. Using google chrome and can't seem to find a way to stop the pop-up from opening in a new tab. Any ideas here, folks?

TIA

In your popup page that set's the opener's value, omit the line:

window.opener.focus();

That refreshes the parent window.

var win=window.open();
win.focus();

will typically open in a popup window without a security warning.
Tested in all the latest browsers.

Works like charm...tyvm!
