How come there are no Wikipedia entries for CodeCharge Studio? Other
than a direct entry, other qualifying category entries:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Model_View_Controller http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_application_framework http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_web_application_frameworks http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_template_system http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Template_engines
Is this just because no one has taken the time to create the entries?

datadoit,
I think that you hit the nail on the head. I think that it would be great to get CCS information out there but someone needs to take the time to learn the Wikipedia entry process. Any volunteers.........??

I'm familiar with the process. I'll go ahead and make an entry for
CodeCharge Studio. Others can create accounts and edit as necessary.

I've created the initial CCS wiki entry:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CodeCharge_Studio
Now it needs to be 'blessed' by someone other than me so the speedy
deletion warning can be removed. The description of course can be
updated/modified/enhanced also. That was just my stab at a brief
description without sounding like I'm trying to sell the thing.
So someone other than me needs to log in, edit the page, and remove
these two tags at the top:
{{db-spam}}
{{hangon}}
Then explain this in the page's "Talk" section, and also the edit itself.

datadoit,
I have updated the Wikipedia page for CodeCharge Studio. This is very exciting . I have never edited a page on Wikipedia before . Another feather in my cap...

It is indeed a nice feather to possess. I've discovered Wikipedia's
dark side, though. I literally had to submit the page three times so
far to get through the "filters" that exist for non-promotion of goods
and services. There's no guarantee that it'll continue to stick either,
as any 'administrator' or 'editor' from around the world could flag and
delete it at any time.
That's why its very important for others to get in there and contribute
something to the page, and try not to sound like an advertisement, but
actually explain some of the inner workings of how and what CCS is.
Once that's done the information and links will trickle down from there
to expose CCS to the myriad of other categories and comparisons. The
likelihood of the page getting flagged for deletion becomes less and
less with more contributions, and even views.

datadoit,
It looks like the page has been flagged for deletion again. What do we need to do to get it out of that state??

It needs more folks to go into the article and add something. The more
people that go into it and either add a snippet of information to it, or
at least add the page to the watch list, the better the chance it'll
stick around.
This isn't for Yes Software. In fact, it's preferred they keep their
nose out of it. This is for the user base to bring more legitimacy to
their own work environments or customers.

Can anyone provide advice on how an inepxerienced Wiki user can contribute? Will have a go but would appreciate some guidelines. I have registered. Good start!!
How, for example do you create a contents index and sections so that we can start to write content?
It says it needs references, but it is picky about what are non-commercial reference sites.
Nearly all CCS references are to shareware download sites or spin offs, like CCS elite or codecharge tools...
Any advice welcome

Wiki is sort of like it's own language. The table of contents will be
created automatically for you based on the tags that you enter around
certain parts. Full details here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Tutorial
The problem with the current content of the wiki entry is that it's too
much like an advertisement rather than something informational. The
only reference is directly to the makers of the software. So having
references to other sources of information such as CCSElite is
absolutely a good thing.
Take a peak at other web development platform entries to see how they
read for some ideas.

datadoit,
Maybe we should list other sources that can be added to the page. This way, we can have references from other sources.

I have added css elite as a external source.
Also added the languages it generates as well. Seems to be a missing part of the article.
Just bought codecharge, so hoping the company doesn't forget about bringing out a new version ;)
