I am told by readyhosting.com that they do not allow "FSO" on SSL side any more. I have 2 sites built with codecharge that use SSL at readyhosting.com.

I am told I can use ASP on SSL, so what does this mean? Is it only ASP and not ASP with Templates.

Is there another way with codecharge? Or, do I have to move the sites to a new hosting company?

Please any help would be appreciated?

Just buy SSL for your site and they will install it on your directories. All you have to do is pay the SSL fee for one year....like $99 from Thawte and they will generate the CSR from the server you are on and it will work for any page you want in your specified directories. That way you can move your login page to reside on the same server etc, or any other SSL page you have. Otherwise, ya you will probably have to mod your code or move hosts. Sounds like they don't allow the File system object to be run....or is not installed. I would just buy the SSL for your domain instead of using the shared.

Hope that helps.

Jeremy,

How could I modify my code to bypass the File system object problem? The site does not belong to me but I did build it. I would like to see if there is another way before telling my client he needs to buy the SSL. Although $99 sounds good - what is the URL where I can buy that?

Thanks

Stuart

Well, I'm not sure how to bypass the FSO, but I'm sure some people here could figure out a way. I'm not a great coder from scratch. I believe it's http://www.thawte.com. Hope that helps. I think all you have to do is ask readyhosting, which really is 1planhost.com, to setup ssl for your domain. Then they will guide the person in charge of the site with them. Hope that helps.
