Yes does not share any news about upcoming releases. Based on their communication, or lack thereof, we do not even know for sure if there will be any further releases!

[OFF]RealSoftware just about to release their own RAD for web development.[/OFF]

My CCS license will expire in november, and I'm not 100% sure that I'm going to renew it. I moved to VS2010 and ASP.NET because I've got bored waiting for YesSoftware to keep up with the technology flow.

THIS IS NO WAY Yessoftware!
I don't care of the "we-don't-give-out-any-information-because" bullsh*t. Microsoft has bigger IP, and they can communicate with the users. Oh... send a support ticket? You kidding.
Ban me Peterr if you want to.

We have been using CCS from Rel. 2. It is a shame to see how this great tool is going downhill. Does anybody know alternatives for RAD Development in ASP.net ?? We are no big fans of Visual Studio.

It’s a communications vacuum.

It sucks in all the negative messages and can have a hugely damaging affect on a business.

Whether YES are about to release a new version or not they need to connect with their customers just to confirm they are still around.

I see posts like this and do question whether all the time I have invested in this product will be wasted.

It’s also gona have an effect on future business as it will certainly put off new customers.

innonet,

Your question seems invalid as there is probably no reason to ask about version 5 since you do not know when version 4.4 or 4.5 may be released, or what will be the next version number. However, you can see the screenshots of what we are working on in the customer area of YesSoftware website.
And Apple also doesn't tell us anything about iPhone 5 but it would be silly to conclude "It is a shame how iPhone is going downhill. Does anybody know alternatives to iPhone??"

quasimidi,

Most companies do not give any information about their future products, so you also won't find any information about Visual Studio 2012 or Dreamweaver CS6, for example. While many companies don't even know when and what features they will be able to finish. Just take a look at Duke Nukem Forever. If you are looking for empty promises I can provide plenty.

Waspman,

We are definitely alive and kicking, although I agree that communication is our weak point. However, I did talk a lot on the forums in the past when it was productive and I could help someone. But I just cannot respond to pointless questions about something that will happen in the future, some version numbers that someone wants instead of another version number, things that our company simply doesn't know, or trying to sell some future non-existing product instead of the product that we currently offer. I don't even understand why innonet is looking for a company that says "buy our product because we are working on version 5". If his goal is not to use the product but require "version 5" then I wish him luck.

And possibly this answer itself shows that I have difficulty answering such questions, so I'll shut up again until we can discuss something that we offer now, not the future :-)
