I had to install my CCS 4.3 under WIN 7 into XPMODE, because it run quiet instable.
After trying to run it just with xpmode it did run anymore (a critical error has occured, application will close now)
even after deinstallation , regclean , new installtion.
So i tried to install it inside xp as a virtual pc machine.
Now it works , i hope it will work also with the cct.
During installation i had to install dotnet, meanwhile we have version 4,
i installed 2 as demanded. Does CCS work with version 4 and are there an advantages
running it with version 4 (I just work with php/mysql).
Greetings
Don

Running Windows 7 Ultimate here and the latest CCS with absolutely zero
issues. It's more stable than the previous environment of XP Pro. No
XP or Vista mode required. The install will automatically determine
that it needs to install in the 32 bit environment.
You'll want to take note of your -exact- version of Windows 7, your
hardware specs, how you're running it (Admin, domain member, etc.) and
report it to support.
I would suggest that you completely update your Windows, in addition to
grabbing the latest Java/JRE and updating that also. Run your Windows 7
as an Administrator.
If you're using only PHP/MySQL for your web development environment,
then you don't need .Net at all. Just leave the v4 that comes in Win7.
You only need v2 if you're going to be creating .Net web applications
in CCS on your development machine. When you go to create a new project
and you choose .Net, then CodeCharge will check to see if you have the
proper version and notify you accordingly.
