Who has received a patch to CCS 4.3 in the last year? I have received
several.
Just because the company won't communicate this doesn't mean the
community doesn't have to.
If there's enough of a response, I will set up a patch repository for
sharing.

Please, set up repository or PM me for my email.
I have one ticket opened since Sept 27, 2010 regarding 100% crashes when using feature builder - developers are still investigating (or so they say).
I can't even insert controls into forms in HTML view anymore- CCS tells me that new Label1 could not be found.

Hi George - as 99% of users do not have this issue it is most likely an issue with your local environment. If you can re-install Windows - I know thats drastic - or deploy a virtual desktop os and install CCS there - most likely you will not see the same issues.

what is not to believe? there are many software packages and operating systems that have patches that are not for general release. they are only supplied if your bug or fault exactly matches what this patch is written for.
look on microsofts website - they have hundreds of these.
log a fault on a cisco router and they will have dozens (potentially even 100+) ios versions they can supply - but they will only supply the one that they think fits your needs and bugs...
it is very common practice. patches that are for all users will get published or will get rolled into the service pack / upgrade.

yes damian but the patch are shared and (well) documentated with all customers !
Yes Software continue his politicy to not share any information with CCS customers

i dont know this utopian world that you describe.
in my experience there are far more companies with far more unpublished patches than there are companies with full transparency regarding patches.
many unpublished patches remain this way because they have not had sufficient testing in sufficient environments to know if they dont break something else and others because they know they break something else. im sure there are dozens of good reasons not to publish every patch or fix.
what is this policy you speak of? gross distortions of a situation do nothing to help anyone. anyway - you do what works for you.

I wish it was so simple...
I came upon this error by chance.
The thing is that everything works fine until you decide to delete one of the "feature" controls.
Let's say your customer didn't like autocomplete and wants dependent list boxes.
You must delete the whole page and start fresh.
If you delete just that control then CCS will crash if you'll try to use any of the control building wizards on any page.
And it will do it on Win7 Home Prem (new installation), Win XP and new installation of win XP (VM)
It is not a big deal and I just remember to delete the page or the whole project will be busted.
It will be interesting to see if you will be able to replicate this error on your PC...

I would be very interested in receiving the patches -
The inconviences of CCS crashing afer certain key strokes is beginning to reach an anoying level.
And if for no other reason, I have been paying maintenance for two licenses for years now and would like to see some of my issues possibly resolved.
A year is a long time to wait for something you paid for, at least I think so...
Come to think of it - Isn't there an implied agreement that patches or fixes would be made available under an annual "maintenance" agreement - paid in advance?
Just my thoughts - I do love the product and will continue to socialize its advantages to my customers.

My 2 cents...
I must say that most of the problem we reported to support got solved with a patch.
We rarely have crashes, but we seldom use the design view as it is unstable
I think Yes is wrong in not collecting patches into versions on a regular basis, the last update was a year ago and I am sure new patches are created every month.
I also think that the current version needs more attention -
1. make the design view stable
2. make things faster - generating code, creating translation, inserting controls etc. takes much too long
3. improve the efficiency of the generated code - this is true for Perl , I do not know if this is an issue with other languages.

i dont experience all these instability issues on a regular basis but i do find that occasionall ccs will crash. if it does 4/5 times it will crash again if i dont reboot.

I'm just trying to get a feel for how many patches have been distributed
since .7676 (Feb. 2010). So, opinions aside about the company, people
and products, who has received a patch in the last year? :)
If the number is exponential, then it'd be worth the effort to create a
community repository. So far I'm only hearing one other mention
receiving a patch in the last year.

Will YES provide the patch if you don't have paid support with them?

Hello,
Software patch is intended to repair a bug. It has nothing to do with support which is intended to help users to solve their problems using the software.

I hate to say it..
But as I was trying to bring to light along time ago.
Yes is not working on CCS AT ALL anymore....
That is an obvious fact..
