I'm puzzled by some recent problems on one of my websites.

For some reason the Index page has stopped including pages and page content from the database.

http://www.bassano.ca

If I click any of the links to other pages they work fine, and then when I go back to the index page it is working again.

I have made no changes to the coding.

Could this be something to do with the web host?

Yes. The web server needs the DirectoryIndex value set properly.
Currently index.html trumps index.php. This can be done either in
httpd.conf, or in an .htaccess file placed in the root of your web
project folder.

Thanks for the help, I realized what was wrong as soon as I started reading your post.

The Index template was inadvertently uploaded to the root folder instead of the template folder.

Silly mistake.
