I am an avid CCS user and I have been using the product for years.
I am starting to look at some PHP frameworks to increase my marketability and I see there are many MVC's out there.
It looks as if for PHP the major competitors are;
Code Ignitor
Cake PHP
Symphony
Does anyone have any experience with any of these.
Thanks for the time...
-Jeff

Don't forget Zend; probably the Mac Daddy of modern frameworks for PHP.
Strong financial stability and corporate viability (unlike, uh hum,
Yes Software).
Betcha this little thread gets deleted within a few hours.

IŽm wondering,
This question may sound a little bit dummy,
By my experience I know than the client side events (Javascript) is an standard, I mean you can find lot of information about client events, books and stuff and you know than youŽll find this method working on different MVC Frameworks, but IŽve started using the server side events on CCS, and even on php books, thereŽs no info about this events "Before Show Events" etc.. so the question is żon those other MVC Frameworks, is there also this server events concept or is it only a particularity from CCS?.
Thank you very much in advance.

Hey Mambo (hahaha)
That's a great doc!
All that stuff that I found out the hard way in one doc:)
Anyway, real men don't do manuals, that's why I'm no good with flat pack furniture

Yes I did it, I printed 16 pages and than I quit and focused on real programming languages, but now one year later, I think is a good chance to focus also on this manual to get some knowledges about CCS.
IŽll keep on mind.

@ Waspman,
It never hurts to look at a document at least once or at least know where you can find the information at.
I'm not even going to mention the fact that you can search the PDF document without printing it or did you already know that
Kidding aside. Eventhough I'm very familiar with CCS, I'm still a big fan of knowing where to look for information because you never know when you might have a brain freeze.

MB.
I've been using CCS for a very long time, but as a designer I don't like being restricted by what a piece of software can do (having the same conversation on Li). My clients ask me to produce something that meets a need. I'm always sure on what I want to do but never sure on how to do it.
I'm not smart enough to be able to store all the possibilities and techniques in my head. So I always approach a project with a fresh eye. This is where CCS has been a god send. If I briefed a programmer they'd just work to their skills or the software they use. With CCS I can explore the possibilities, and refer to the manual if I get stuck.
Now I believe I could do anything with CCS, just don't ask me how I'm going to do it.
I'm a CCS explorer

Yes indeed,
I know I could read it on the screen, but I like to print all manuals from all tools I had to learn on the diferent companyes IŽve been.
