As I move more towards jquery and CSS, Codecharge has become nothing more that a data provider. I think this is great. I can do all the data manipulation stuff very easily, stick it in divs and I'm away.
I love it. I have more control, I can use some cool effects and the I'm not fighting with the presentation in CCS.

How do you deal with grids, editable grids and reports?
Do you keep the CCS grids and just drop them in jquery tabs or other containers?
I'm curious....

Simple stuff, I take out all html table references and re-style the components.
Complicated grids and reports I would leave as is.

Same thing here...
and for grids I just created new styles based on changed CCS xml templates & red header/caption templates - now they look nothing like hideous styles that CCS generates.

Hello,
Would you be interested in posting a style example. I think that would jumpstart many of us.
Thanks

Hello Waspman,
Do you convert data into JSON?
I am also interested to see an example how did you solve this marriage between CCS and JQuery.
Thanks

I agree with Waspman's approach. Codecharge main strength lies in its data access capabilities. My opinion is that Yes should only focus on developing this aspect of the application, and drop all ajax/javascript features.

Yup!!!
Tony is right.
I have been using CCS as just the Database Engine for the last couple years.
Although Artisteer templates are very nice tools for building sites.. U can integrate CCS into almost any HTML template very easily.
LOL
Here is an example of a CCS Application installed into a HTML Template that he had purchased somewhere.
Really easy actually & with the power of CCS in creating Database applications... everything can rock..

My development site for the new app I have been developing.

@Damian.
LOL I know.
When I converrted CCSElite to Arsty... I sorta went crazy with colors and stuff.
This site U R looking at was a 3rd party HTML template delivered to my client which, using CCS, I was able to add all the code for funtionality.
LOL The graphic design is not my strong suit... Which is why I use Artiseer if I have to create the graphic design. I usually prefer to farm out the design if possible...
But if U look at CCSElite.com... U can see it is possible to create a rather ugly site even with great tools... LOL
Take care & Thanks for the comments.
John

@Damian
Just curious what U think of this Artsy Template....
http://realwebdevelopment.us
These family of pages & demos Use the same Artsy template for Wordpress, CCS, & Just plain HTML Artisteer templates. I just exported it to all three flavors for this site as some pages are in a wordpress base with plain HTML pages and CCS generated pages.
Thanks
John

hi john, its certainly more pleasing to me that ccseleite but it is still a little too much on the colours. i dont feel that the purple works well with your blue. is it hard to test other colours if its artisteer created? i would try some shaeds of grey (boring i know) or one of the several blue shades you are already using.

What do U think of this??
