(1) I'm using Before Show event to set link

$machine->mainimage ->SetLink($machine->leftimage->GetValue());

This gets value of a text field on the form...
Since I have multiple images stored in the DB I don't want to display the
value as a textbox
how can I set the image direct to a db value

$machine->mainimage ->SetLink($machine->{leftimage});

but didn't seem to work

(2) Can I set the using the above BEFORE SHOW event
I'd like to MODIFY the Image value from DB as well

ie. at the moment value is taken from a field called "mainimage" which
contains "images/widget1.jpg"

I'd like to append "image/" the field ie. widget1.jpg to give me
"images/mainimage"

Where does the text field get it's value from?

If it's the db you can use an attribute in the html rather than beforeshow

well I had tried that

change src="{leftimage_Src}" src="images/{leftimage_Src}"

and href="{Image1}" to href="images/{Image1}"

when set as above the text "images/left_test.jpg" displays in place of the
image and image place holder is shown
if I rightclick i can set the properties say
http://www.mydomain.com/images/main_test.jpg

So you're saying that when you change the HTML the component type is changed?

Don't think so - still showing as imagelink

originally an Image - I did a right-click "change to" imagelink
