Hi, I know it could sound strange but I've an application developped with CCS 3.1.1 and didn't migrate to 4.x since when 4.x came out it was quite unstable. I've developped under Win Xp 32 till I recently bought this new machine running 7 64bit. The installation went smoothly but when I try to run CCS it doesn't work, I tried with different configurations on the compatibility panel but all I got was a frame with transparent background.
Can anybody suggest a solution? I wouldn't like to use a virtual machine for this.
Thank you.

Nicola

Hi, CCS 3.2.0.6 and 4.3.00.7676 is running without any problems on my Windows 7 64bit.
Only CCS 2.x is not working anymore. You should try to install the latest versions.

Hi Martin,
thank you for your reply. CCS 3.2.0 created also some issues so at the end I stucked with 3.1.1. Have you tried 3.1.1 on your machine? Is it possible for you to install it?
Thank you.

Nicola

Please upgrade to the latest version. You'll likely be entitled to the
new v5 for free when it's released within the year.

Datadoit,
I bought the perpetual versions 3 and 4. Version 4.3 is almost unusable, seriously. I bought it because of all the new improvements, ajax, and so on. Before migrating I developed just a simple application for me and each time I use 4.3 I find some new bugs.
I wrote about it in past so I won't repeat but I'm really disappointed while CCS 3.1.1 is and old but excellent development tool.

I think your v4.3 issues are unique. Are you using the latest 4.3.0.7676?

I agree. Version 4.3.0.7676 absolutely solid for me on XP for last 2 years.

It's now lightning fast on W7 64 bit - new lease of life, although have had a couple of crashes.
