I see plenty of dialog here from people waiting for something else before spending money on an upgrade. First, we all waited to see if there is a V5. There is. Now we have people waiting for some other magic milestone before upgrading.

Many people here use this tool to generate revenue for their business daily - yet haven't paid a penny to Yes Software in many years. All because of the Perpetual License - which, in my opinion, should no longer exist.

No software company can survive these days selling licenses for only a few hundred bucks - and then not deriving any other revenue from customers from several years. It's a business model that no longer works.

More companies need to ditch perpetual licenses - and require active users to pay some sort of subscription Annually. That keeps revenue flowing - and a product alive.

If you are a hobbyist, sure, you don't want to throw your money around.
If you are deriving revenue or real benefit in business from CCS, you really should
be helping to support the life of this product with an upgrade.
