Hi.
I first got to say I am truly in love with CCS5 and Artisteer 3.1 with respect to the Artsy design interface. ( I hope they do not break things when Artsy 4 is finally ready)
Despite a few issues I have (Support Tickets in for some and I have developed workarounds for others) This is TOO SWEET.
This is what I have waited for 3 years to see, as most of us have!!!
Anyone who remembers Artsy using CCS4.3 will appreciate what I am saying. I no longer will dread starting a new project with Artisteer!
If anyone wants to know how to change the Artisteer design used by a page at run time, let me know.
You can change the design based on a Databse entry, URL paremeter, Variable, expression, a post parameter to a page.... etc.
Oh and BTW this can all be done without modifying any CCS generated code....
After playing with this more.. I just realized you can also use this ability to skin a site based on a users preference.. Again to Cool. Kudos to Yes on the design of this interface..

Hey Bannedone,
this is amazing news. I definitely want to know more.
Now if we could just get a better conversion of older projects

Hi
You can read about it here for Dynamic Artisteer Designs.
http://realsites.biz/codecharge_studio_forum.php?forum_...168&forum_id=13
I do not plan to convert existing projects to CCS5. I will continue to use 4.3 for existing projects.
This is for many reasons and the basic one is converting an existing project (Which most of my existing CCS4.3 projects have Artisteer designs applied) will not play nice with the new concept of Artisteer Designs in CCS5.
I, however, will start all new projects in CCS5 and Artisteer as the pain has finally been removed. If I want to convert an old project to CCS5, I will be more likely to re-write it using CCS5 framework.
