If I have quite a few issues with CCS 5 and atm have not received satisfactory resolution from Support.
I have tried several install / re-installs on 2 different computers. The problems appearing are actually different on both computers, but the same problems keep appearing on each computers.
Both the computers I am using have AMD processors. One of them has an OCZ Vertex SSD.
I realise hardware issues may seem to be an extreme point of testing, but please allow me to present you with some other reasons I have for testing this. I have an Accounting application running on both pc's with AMD CPU called "Quickbooks" and when I use it to calculate sales/purchases and tick to show the sales tax amount (called GST in Australia) it returns a noticeably erroneous decimal amount which has been independently verified by a registered forensic accountant.
So my motivation for exploring the potential for this issue is currently based around AMD processors.
I have not at this stage concluded in the accounting case whether it is CPU floating point problem or Software calculation problem.
So, if anyone has at least a few issues that cannot be resolved lets say in CCS 4.3 or CCS 5.0 and have tested on 2 AMD processors could you please post a description here.
What I would like to do is get 5 posts with different issues descriptions and go through them and verify with each of the persons posting that I understand exactly the problem. Following that I will test the functionality of the descriptions on my PC's with AMD CPU and report back. It would also be good if someone would test exactly the same and report back on Intel CPU's.
The testing environment is Windows 7 Home 64 Bit. I don't imagine that whether Home / Premium / Professional matters too much, although MS has surprised me a little in the past. So maybe stage 1 could be simply Windows 7 64 bit and if necessary we could then look at the flavours of Windows.
cheers,
Michael.

The accuracy of calculations is not strongly dependent on the chosen processor. I think in your case the more important part - software (the chosen programming language and data types).

Please reply to this post if you are willing to provide testing data that refutes or verifies my suggestions.
