Help!
Ive been gone quite a long while and Ive just decided to give version 5 a run... I cant create my 1st v5 project because News and Updates window/frame takes up half the screen and I cannot find how to turn it off, reduce its size or move it!
Im sure I must be missing something obvious...
Win7 32bit, Fresh Install of 5.0.0.16254
Thanks!
Damian

Hi Damian
Welcome Back!!!
I also just got CCS5 so I am back here now and then as well.
I know of no way to turn off news and updates.
But don't U have choices above that updates window with choices of how to start a project???
That's the way it installed for me.

Theres a html file containing news and updates somewhere in the codecharge temp files - might be under users/appdata - I can't quite remember exactly where. delete it or edit.
Ok found it...

Damian,
I had a problem recently where the styles box was way too BIG for the screen and the only two buttons showing visible ADD and Remove.
I tried re-installing the video driver, but to no avail.I found that some crapware had installed itself and uninstalled it too. Then, I tried a fresh windows install and still the same problem.
But then, magically after about 1.4GB of Windows Updates, the problem disappeared and I could also see the import and export buttons and everything was in correct proportion.
I noted that one of the Windows Update patches was a service pack for DotNET 3.5...
